Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm we will be using many kinds of media to learn fundamental art skills and history. Lessons are $20 which includes snack and supplies. I hope every one had a great spring break! Classes start back up tomorrow. We will be painting with acrylic.

Face Painting Partys all summer long!

I am face painting this summer in addition to my murals and canvases. The kids are so excited and the parties have been great.

I spoke to the 4th graders at Floris UMC about gifts that God gives us. The students watched me draw murals about the Serve topics they will learn about this year and they they had the chance to color them in. The first one is about "Your world", the second is the "elderly" and the third is "Our Community" There were 6 in all for the two services. In the elderly picture the children chose abstract colors to represent age.

Emily's Painting

I painted a Hawaiian sunset for my friend Emily in acrylic. Her husband Scott has this amazing material called "WallMonster". It sticks to the wall and then you can reposition it as many times as you like and it never fades. So this particular painting I did on "WallMonster" material :) You can order any of my paintings on this material instead of canvas and even have a faux frame printed or painted onto it. Very neat stuff!

Smithsburg Steam and Craft Show

I had a really great weekend at the Smithsburg Steam and Craft show this year. I met a fabulous photographer named Jamie, who used to work at the Capitol Building. She also has a really cute trademark charachter called Acorn Babys. I will have to try to get a pic up on the site.
People were really nice and I had a great response from all the little kids. People were interested in murals, family portraits and landscapes. Hopefully I will be busy until Christmas :)

This is a painting done for Courtney that I did off of a postcard she got during her honeymoon. She has kept the postcard safe for all these years and I am honored that she would let me paint it for her house. The detailed shots came out a lot better than the overall shot of the painting.
